Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Plyground, the website at plyground.co and the app at app.plyground.co. By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Plyground is a trading name of Wollen Studio B.V., a private limited company registered in the Netherlands with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42130932 ("we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What Plyground does
Plyground is design and slicing software for 3D printing. You pick or upload a shape, add weaves, textures, colours, logos and text, and export print files (G-code or Bambu Studio project files) for your own printer.
3. Your account
- You need an account to export. Give us a real email address and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
- If you are under 16, you need permission from a parent or guardian to create an account.
- An account is for one person. Sharing a Hobby Pro or Founder login is not allowed. Business plans are licensed per seat.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
4. Plans, trial and payment
- Free: core design tools and standard exports, at no cost.
- Free trial: new accounts get 14 days of Hobby Pro without entering a card. When the trial ends, your account moves to Free unless you choose a paid plan. One trial per person.
- Hobby Pro: €6 a month or €45 a year.
- Business: €18 a month or €175 a year, per seat.
- Founder licence: €69, paid once, limited to 500 licences.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), which is the merchant of record for all our orders. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, VAT and invoices, and its own terms apply to the purchase. Prices are shown in euros; VAT is calculated at checkout for your country.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account or the Lemon Squeezy customer portal, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If we change a subscription price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.
5. Licences
- Free, Hobby Pro and Founder are personal licences. You may use them for personal projects and to sell your own prints on a small scale, up to €1,000 in sales a year.
- Business is a commercial licence, needed for companies, shops, studios, print farms, client work, or sales above €1,000 a year.
- If an account is clearly being used commercially on a personal licence, we may ask you to move to Business.
6. The Founder licence
The Founder licence is a one-off payment that gives one person Hobby Pro, including future Hobby Pro features, for as long as we offer Plyground. It is personal and cannot be transferred or resold. Only 500 will be sold. It does not include Business features. If we ever stop offering Plyground, we will give at least 90 days' notice and keep the app running for that period.
7. Your designs and prints
You own the designs you make, the files you export and the objects you print. We do not claim any rights over them. If you upload a model, logo or image, you confirm you have the right to use it. We only process your files to run the service for you.
8. Our software
Plyground, its code, weave patterns, presets and branding belong to Wollen Studio B.V. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app under your plan. Please do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it, get round plan limits, or use it to build a competing product.
9. Acceptable use
Do not use Plyground to break the law, infringe other people's rights, make weapons or weapon parts, or interfere with the service or other users. We may suspend an account that does.
10. Lab features
Features marked Lab, such as Air weaves, are experimental. They may not print reliably, may change, and may be withdrawn. Use them knowing that some prints will fail.
11. 3D printing safety and print liability
Plyground creates instructions for your printer. We work hard to give good default settings and to warn you about likely problems, but every printer, filament and environment is different, and even prints from printer makers' own slicers sometimes fail.
- The print check is guidance, not a guarantee. A design marked as printable can still fail.
- Check every file before you print, use settings suited to your printer and material, and never leave a printer running unsupervised for long periods.
- 3D printers involve heat, moving parts and fumes. Follow your printer and filament makers' safety instructions.
- Lamps: lampshades and LED lights are designed for low-heat LED bulbs or battery LED tealights only. Never use them with incandescent or halogen bulbs, candles or open flames. Wiring must meet local electrical rules.
- Watertight and food contact: whether a print holds water or is food-safe depends on your material, printer and settings. Plyground does not make prints food-safe.
- Do not use printed objects where failure could cause injury, such as load-bearing, safety-critical or children's toys that could be swallowed, unless you have tested and certified them yourself.
- If you sell prints, you are responsible for their safety and for meeting the product rules that apply to you.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for failed prints, wasted material or time, or damage to printers or other property caused by printing a file made with Plyground.
12. Our liability
We provide Plyground with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit or data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, intent or gross negligence, or any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
13. Ending your account
You can stop using Plyground and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why. If we close your account without good reason, we will refund any unused part of a prepaid plan.
14. Changes
We may update these terms as Plyground grows. For significant changes we will email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law of the country where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to sort things out. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, or to the courts of your own country if you are a consumer in the EU.
